Aly Raisman says USA Gymnastics still isn't reaching out to abuse victims

Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman had strong words for the way USA Gymnastics continues to respond to reports of sexual abuse from its athletes.
She spoke Saturday in a one-on-one interview with WCVB-TV and also to a group of young women in a discussion at the Natick Mall.
All five members of Raisman's 2012 Olympic team have revealed they were abused by a team doctor. Four members of the 2016 team have also come forward with allegations against the doctor, who was sentenced to prison earlier this year.
Despite the doctor's conviction and the many athletes who've come forward, Raisman says the organization is still not treating victims with the respect they deserve.
"USA Gymnastics needs to top saying it's the 'new' USA Gymnastics," she said. "You can't be the ‘new USA Gymnastics’ if you really don't care and you're not even reaching out."
Raisman said she's using her story to fight for change.
"I'm very grateful that I am being heard, because I know there are so many people out there that they speak up and they're not being heard, and that's unacceptable."
USA Gymnastics is holding the 2018 U.S. Gymnastics Championships at the TD Garden in Boston this weekend. Raisman said the organization did not invite her to attend, but TD Garden did invite her and her family.
