39. Lauren Iida: 100 Aspects of the Moon
Lauren Iida's paper collage exhibition features 100 hand-cut works inspired by Japanese woodblock artist Yoshitoshi's 1890s series of the same name. The pieces are also inspired by the artist's home in Cambodia and her Japanese American family's vintage photo archive.

Experience a night of switch-flipping, genre-bending musical throwdown as Silent City Productions presents the sixth annual Punk As Folk, a celebration of punk-inspired folk music and folk-inspired punk music. This year, Punk As Folk returns with a stacked lineup of real PNW folk-punk enthusiasts: Danbert Nobacon, the Bad Things, Bakelite 78, Ghost Teeth, Tsunami Piñata, and StrangeMoonShine.

54. Restorative Justice Poetry Slam
The National Center for Restorative Justice, an organization that seeks to answer the question: "How do we create the space for accountability and simultaneously build relationships?" will host a free poetry slam. Share your work or just show up to listen.
55. Science Fiction to Science Fact
Drink beer and check out paintings that explore genetic engineering and the personalities of scientists. Plus, Arjun Khakhar will give a short talk on "plant synthetic biology."

The nine-member-strong local ensemble Kalimba, the Spirit of Earth, Wind & Fire definitely have EW&Fâs many hits down to a science, but what I really want to know is this: Do they play the amazing early stuff that didnât tear up the radio, like âBad Tune,â âEnergy,â âDrum Song,â âZanzibar,â or anything off the Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song soundtrack?
