UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA REACH PROGRAM FILLS STOCKINGS TO SEND TO HAITI

The Reach program, a part of the RISE Center at the University of Alabama, donated their time to stuffing stockings to spread some Christmas cheer.

Employees of the RISE Center filled Christmas stockings with toiletry items, crayons and coloring books, socks and other items. The Reach employees traveled to Dallas to deliver these gifts to Gene Stallings and the Live Beyond offices who will send them to Haiti.

“Ours in particular is going to Johnny’s School, which is named after Coach Stallings’ son,” said Joylyn Boggs, the family service coordinator at the Stallings Center. “And it’s a program that is ran in Haiti for children with and without special needs just like RISE. And so our 50 stockings I know will go to that school.”

Live Beyond was founded by Gene Stallings’ daughter and her husband. If you would like to learn more about it, visit livebeyond.org.
